 The median is defined as the middle value in an distribution, it is important to keep a note that before to calculate median one should arrange the frequency in ascending or in descending order for example the income of five employees is 900, 950,1020, 1200 & 1280. The mid value is 1020. In the case of even number of series the income of six employees are 900, 950, 1020,1200, 1280, 1300. Now in the case of even values the middle values are 1020 and 1200

Median = 1020+1200/2

Median = 2220/2

Median = 1110
